The resean11 utiIized the nanyan-7 and nanyan-303 of NZ sugar beet (Beta vulgata L. )as experiment material, is cboed on in the Northeast Aghcultural University and Xiangfangexperiment field in l996~l999. On the basis of l20kg P,O,/hm' and 60kg K2O lhm2, theexperiment are designed to No, N6Q, Nl2o and NIso-- four nitrOgen levels and NH.+-N, NO3---N,UreMwhree nitrogen forms, random ranking experimental blocks. We stUdied nitrogenlevels and forms affect on the morphogenesis, nitrogen assimilation, yield and qualityfOrmation of sugar beet and nitrOgen supply in soil in same system, tried to further find therule of nitrogen assimilation in sugar b6et and choose the physiological indexes to diagnosisnitrogen nutrition and predict yield and quality of sugar beet at earIier period. The resultSshowed under below:1. The number of the strCched leaves and total green leaves in sugar beet formed a singlepeak curve dwtng growth and development stage and had a POsitive correlation with nitrogenlevels. The unSttCtched leaves number of single plan in sugat beet grew as groWth anddevelopmenL and to their climax at sucrose accumulation stage. which had a POsitivecormlation with nitrogen levels. The droop leaves nurnber of single plant had a negativecorrelation with nitrogen levels at earlier period, and then it changed tO negative at the end ofJuly ne total leaves number of single plan had a positive correlation with nitrogen levels. The life-span of single plan leaf blades had a single peak curve after aPplied 3 kinds ofnitrogen fertilizef, and its sequence was NH.+ -N >NO3--N>U re a-N at d ifferent n itrogen l eve l s.The leaf area and leaf area coefficient of single plant in sugar beet formed a single peak curveduring growth and development stage and had a positive cormlation with nitrogen levels. Thebiggest area of single leaf in sugar beet had a single Peak curve as grOwth and developmentwhich increased as the imPI'OVement ofnibogen levels.2. In nanyan-7, the biggeSt beched Ieaves numbef, total green Ieaves numbef, droopleaves number, total leaves nurnbet, the biggest leaf area and leaf area coefficient of singleplam were resPeCtively 23.6~30.8 nakes, 26.6--34.6 flakes, 44.2~5l.2 flakes, 58.6~72.6flakes, 3933.73~6929.80cm' and 2.6225~4.6l99, the leaf of the longest life-sPan were the20--22 leaf nd theirs were 58.4--65.6 days. The biggeS single leaf area. all of treatInentswas the 32 leaf were 406.44~479.37cm2.3.
