Applying multi-dimension wheel force measurement technology to evaluate the vehicle anti-lock braking system(ABS) performance, an evaluate method and system for ABS performance based on multi-dimension wheel force measurement are presented and the road test shows that the method is correct and the technology is available. The result is valuable in theory research and engineering application for improving ABS performance and reducing the ABS test errors. The main research work is summarized as follows:1. The vehicle dynamic models based on characteristics of evaluate vehicle ABS performance are presented, simulated and analyzed for application of multi-dimension wheel force measurement technology evaluating ABS performance.2. The general methods for evaluating ABS performance are analyzed. Many parameters for evaluating ABS braking efficiency based on measuring longitudinal wheel force are presented, the road test method for measuring the rate of road coefficient of friction is modified, the methods for evaluate ABS control quality base on measuring the wheel torque is presented. The vehicle state, the ability of road condition recognition in ABS control arithmetic and the validity of Electronic stability program (ESP) control logic are described by muti-dimension wheel force measurement.3. According to the characteristics of wheel forcing and fixing, the key technology such as elastomer architecture, strain layout, multi-dimension signal coupling, non-contact energy and signal transmission are researched and a multi-dimension wheel force transducer and calibration equipment are developed.4. A road data acquiring and processing system for evaluating ABS performance based on multi-dimension wheel force transducer and embedded architecture is realized. Estimation of absolute vehicle speed using fuzzy logic rule-based kalman filter and ABS performance analysis functions based on the methods presented in this dissertation are designed in software.5. Road tests are examined for the availability of the multi-dimension wheel force measurement application for evaluating ABS performance. Many experiments and tests are performed and the results are analyzed and discussed.
