Vehicle Guidance System is the national study foreland on the transportationfield—— the important composing segment of Intelligent TransportationSystem, and is also one of the best method to solve the urban traffic problemsrecognized by the international. With the real-time dynamic trafficdistribution theory as the core, Vehicle Guidance System uses syntheticallythe detection, communication, computer, control, GPS, GIS and so on tosupply the real traffic information and the optimal route guidance instructionto the drivers dynamically. By guiding the vehicles on the road, VehicleGuidance System can balance the rational distribution of the vehicles in thespace time, improve the transportation efficiency of the road network, preventthe traffic block and reduce the air pollution. The paper is based on the research productions of the important item 《theexploitation of in-Vehicle Information Equipment》of the national science andtechnology tackle project"the key technique exploitation and demonstrationengineering of Intelligent Transportation System ", the subsidiary item 《theresearch and development of Intelligent in-Vehicle Information System》ofJinlin university "985 automobile engineering science and technologyinnovation platform" and Chang Chun Science and Technology item 《theresearch on the intelligent management traffic guidance system of ChangChun Avenue in Chang Chun city》. The paper is all about the theory modeland key technique of Vehicle Guidance System, in which the principle is thatthe science significance is equal to the practical value, and make a series ofinnovation fruits on the researches of Vehicle Guidance System frame study, the travel time indirectly prediction model study, the three-dimensionnavigation techniques of the vehicle, the route optimal technique of VehicleGuidance System, the design and operation technique of information informin Vehicle Guidance System and so on.The dissertation is composed of eight chapters.Chapter one introduces the origin of the dissertation, elicits the IntelligentTransportation System aiming at the urban traffic problems and VehicleGuidance System, and then summarizes the study actuality and developmenttrend of Vehicle Guidance System throughout the world. Finally the contentof the dissertation is presented. In the second chapter, the frame study of Vehicle Guidance System ispresented. This chapter mainly constructs the configuration frame and theoperation frame of vehicle guidance system adapting to the situation of ourcountry. Besides, the chapter introduces the modern high-techs servingVehicle Guidance System. This part is the foundation of the dissertation, andpresents a macroscopically and visual description about Vehicle GuidanceSystem.Chapter three is mainly about the theory study of traffic informationshort-time prediction. This chapter is the theory core of the whole dissertation.Beginning with the traffic information collection techniques, by importing thecollection techniques of the traffic parameters, this chapter first bringsforward the traffic information real-time collection methods based on thefloating car to resolve the real-time collection problem of the trafficparameters such as the travel time in the whole urban road network. Then, thetheory model system of short-time travel time prediction is constructed basedon the idea of prediction decision, and a basic operation platform is suppliedfor the actualization of Vehicle Guidance System. The theory model andmethod in the dissertation have applied in Chang Chun and made a favorableprediction effect. Finally, the dissertation presents traffic parametersexponential smoothing model based on optimal grads and the trafficinformation prediction method based on mobile telephone detection vehicle. The chapter four is about the study of the special electronic map in VehicleGuidance System. The research and development problem of the specialelectronic map in Vehicle Guidance System is the necessary problem in theactual operation process of Vehicle Guidance System, and its design andresearch directly influence the actualization effect of Vehicle GuidanceSystem. Based on the design of the special two-dimension electronic map ofVehicle Guidance System, the dissertation deeply studies the three-dimensionroute navigation technique in Vehicle Guidance System. The dissertationdesigns the three-dimension route guidance technique based on MultigenCreator and Vega. The above model and arithmetic have applied successfullyto the experiment in Chang Chun and obtained a nicer result. In the fifth chapter, the study of the route plan technique in VehicleGuidance System is presented. Based on the introduction of the classicalshortest –route arithmetic, the dissertation presents a shortest-route arithmeticadapting to Vehicle Guidance System. Further, the actual traffic phenomenonin vehicle guidance process is described and an improvement of the routeoptimal technique based on TC-B is presented first. The theory, method andmodel in this chapter have applied in-vehicle information equipment of theitem team. The design of information issuance terminal in Vehicle Guidance System ispresented in chapter six. First, the chapter designs the information issuanceterminal in Vehicle Guidance System based on VMS and describes the B/Smode information compilation fashion based on XML. Then, the chapteranalyzes the function of intelligent in-vehicle information equipment, designsthe software and hardware link of intelligent in-vehicle informationequipment and presents a part operation interface. The last chapter is the summarization of whole dissertation. The chapterpoints out the innovations of the dissertation and advances the problems thatshould be perfected and studied.
