Study On Urban Space Form With View Of Regional Culture

Under the background of rapid urbanization, China has been witnessing the course of globalization and regional development. People's transference not only makes the progress of economic but also brings great change to social and culture. Culture is one of most important basis of human settlements. Culture's development influences urban plan greatly. Integrate theory of Cultural Geography, the thesis researched the culture'effect to urban space development on basis of regional culture. With the view of urban plan, the thesis introduced the concept of regional culture, constructs the framework of regional settlements'study. Make Changing, Wuhan and Nanjing for examples, It researched the progress and traits of regional settlements and culture development.The thesis studied urban and culture in objective space-time. Through analysis the traits of modernity's space-time, it proved that the integrated space-time system witch make up of globalization and regional space-time is the basic background of urban development. The study concluded that anomie of space-time is just the reason of urban space and traits get lost. The thesis suggested that put social life into regional space-time system and revive present effect in regional life is the effective way to construct urban space with regional character. From the development of great unity thoughts and the spatial orientation in Chinese political thoughts, it shows the evolution of Chinese regional space thoughts are based on political structure of great unity. Based on analysis on regional development of Chinese urban, it studies the culture environment of urban development and constructs the culture basis of urban study. During practice study, through compare the pattern of regional settlements, the thesis study the settlements'development and culture traits of Changing, Wuhan and Nanjing. Regional culture study of human settlements must be integrated in the sciences of human settlements so that to realize the connection of theory and practice study.Urban study with the view of regional culture takes regional culture as the basic affect to urban development. It begin from down to up then construct the framework of regional settlements'study from up to down. It builds a new view to study urban development in regional space-time system.
