Research On Human Settlements Construction Of Wujiang River Basin

This dissertation aims at the study on human settlements construction of Wujiang River Basin in the present tide of urbanization. It examines the issues of frame structure, research techniques, research focus, fundamental theories and typical cases of human settlements construction with river basin as a region unit, enriching theoretical system of human settlements construction in mountainous areas, offering a reference for relevant practices of construction.It employs trans-disciplinary researching approach in human settlements studies, firstly probes the main research content. In the vertical history review, methods of narration of historical cases, narration interspersed with comments and a combination of historic works are used. In the traverse study of current situation, a combination of observation and statistics is used to find the key problems. As the problems lead to, the dissertation studies on urbanization and urban system construction, eco-environmental protection, and the urban form. Both of the first two aspects adopt the deduction method, and the later one uses the method of conclusion for case studies.The study of history is first concerned on historical settlements before late Yuan Dynasty and early Ming Dynasty, Other three great developing stages in history, Ming and Qing Dynasties, Anti-Japanese War, have been chosen to discuss the progresses and disadvantages of the each constructional stage. The research has suggested, whether or not the essence of developing behaviors is predatory can be judged from benefits distribution brought about by development. Hence, it is proved that there was relatively strong predatoriness regarding developing behaviors in history, and warnings on contemporary development and construction are put forward.The study of current situation points out that adverse succession is the natural ecological evolving trend of this region, presents that current construction accelerates the progression of adverse succession. Expounds hydroelectric development of Wujiang River has greater impetus to urbanization progress, describes the present pattern of urban group space, surveys the type and characteristic of urban space form. Finally, systemically analyzes the problems that regional sustainable development faced with, and refines out three key problems to which the dissertation pays close attention.The study of urbanization and urban system construction puts forward that urbanization is a necessary way for the integrated development of Wujiang River region.With "first macro-criterion industrialization level index curve" as a target, the study quantitatively analyzes motive mechanism characteristics of urbanization in Wujiang River region. The research has suggested, the urbanization of Wujiang River region is still in the traditional mode of being driven by industrialization, competent in industrialization level but poor in quality. Industrialized level is extremely unbalanced, which cannot support the continuous high-speed and high-quality development of urbanization. The article puts forward the suggestion on the improvement of motive force mechanism, points out that the primary task of urbanization is to choose several cities and counties that have relatively better development prospect in urbanization as a regional urbanization development core. The article thinks that researches on urban system study should be paid more attention to. For urban system construction of Wujiang River region, the article proposes a thinking of aggregated arrangement of urban groups instead of a certain big city to form urbanization development core. Meanwhile, from the angle of regional related development, the article proposes the improved pattern and space in terms of size and function coordinated with the construction of the Three Gorges Area.The study of urban form analyzes typical types of transition in urban form in Wujiang River region, points out that the fast-growing social and economic developments, the policy of advancing urbanization, the instruction of infrastructure facilities such as transportation and communication, and the reform on land use system are the main motive force mechanism in the expanse of urban form in Wujiang River region. However, the main factors that restrict urban form expanse lie in land use condition of Karst area, water resources utilization condition and the historical problems concerning urban planning and construction. Five cases have been chosen, which analyze the major problems that will be faced with in urban form expanse from the aspects of shape cluster urban form, road planning in mountainous cities, preservation of urban historical legacy, precautions taken against mountainous natural calamities and urban form, and the urban form in the city lacking resources, etc., in Wujiang River region; subsequently, summarizes some lessons pragmatically and theoretically.The study of eco-environmental protection clarifies the dialectical relation between human settlements construction and eco-environmental protection, puts forward the idea to the systematic frame of eco-environmental protection. The research proposes the viewpoint of constructing landscape security pattern at the regional level, and the construction of the pattern in time sequence is proposed as well. The research alsorefines the main points of urban layout based on local ecological experiences, proposes the optimized idea to the pattern of urban green space system planning, summarizes the idea of urban river improvement and ecological planning method of utilizing rainwater to renovate the improvement on urban water circulation. Finally, the research proposes the consideration of eco-environmental protection and restoration in industrial and mining areas under the background of grand resources development.In the part of conclusion, the study summarizes the full text, and points out the deficiency of the research and the further researches to be conducted.
