Horizontal well development oilfield is a promising and a possible widely used technology.Now, the study of integral development with horizontal well and vertical well is just starting,which is a new subject in oilfield development. In this paper, using basic laws ofhydrodynamics and oilfield exploitation, comprehensive study on the subject has been made,and calculation method of exploitation index of integral development is constructed. The studyincludes: (1) The mechanics of fluid flow of horizontal well and multilateral horizontal well,(2) Productivity of mixed well pattern of horizontal well or multilateral horizontal welland vertical well, (3) Productivity calculation and the choice of horizontal and verticalwells mixed well patterns. (4) The potential of a row horizontal well in XY plate. An analyticalsolution of the potential is deduced, which is important for horizontal well pattern research.(5) Mechanics of fluid flow of staggered mixed pattern of horizontal wells and vertical wellsand optimum of the well pattern. (6) Mechanics of fluid flow of the regular rectangular andthe staggered rectangular well patterns of horizontal wells and optimum of the well patterns.(7) The 2-phase flow of oil and water in non-piston-like displacement of mixed well patternof multilateral horizontal wells and vertical wells. (8) Concerned the characters of theperipheral oilfields of Daqing, some influence factors to the mixed well pattern of 5-sptotis studied.The following conclusions are made from studies above:(1) The calculation methods of exploitation indexes of single-phase flows and oil and water2-phase flows of horizontal and multilateral horizontal wells are constructed. (2) Theequivalence percolation resistance law is accurate enough to be used in productivitycalculation of horizontal well pattern. (3) Productivity of mixed well pattern of horizontalwell or multilateral horizontal well and vertical well is constructed and formulae are simpleenough to be used in the oilfield. The patterns include 5-spot pattern,7-spot pattern and9-spot pattern. (4) Productivity formula of united rectangular well pattern of horizontaland vertical wells is constructed. By this formula, the calculation results show that fora horizontal well length, there is a shape factor at which the productivity of the patternis biggest. So optimum method of the well pattern is proposed. (5) A new concept ofdimensionless length of horizontal well is advanced and the relationship of optimum shapefactor of the rectangular well pattern against dimensionless length of horizontal well ispresented. The influences of length of the horizontal well, area of the well pattern unitand the thickness of reservior are concerned. (6) The potential of a row horizontal well inXY plate is deduced, which is important for horizontal well pattern research. (7) Thepercolation theory of integral well pattern of horizontal and vertical wells is constructed.The accurate productivity of the pattern in pseudo 3-dimension is given and the relationshipof optimum shape factor of the well pattern against dimensionless length of horizontal well...
