With the abroad applications of technology of enhancing oil percentage recovery, the emulsion plays a more important part in this area. Not only does emulsion be a plugging agent, but for boosting affect volume, improving water injection section and it works as oil driven agent to enhancing oil driven efficiency in nonhomogeneous porous oil formation. However, there are not many development results concerned with emulsion flow rules in a porous media, mechanisms of emulsion flow plugging in pore space and mechanisms of emulsion oil displacing, and which are most concerned in practice. So it is necessary to have being carried out this study.By the experiment of micromodel of emulsion flow in a porous media, the study was carried out the flow rules of stable emulsion in micromodel, mechanisms of emulsion flow plugging, influences on structure of pores and study on mechanisms of emulsion oil driving and it has been present that when emulsion flow pass through the porous media the characters of flow behave markedly nonhomogeneous. It frequently happens that emulsion flow plugging and flow channels changed, flow net are not stable. Under the high pressure macroemuision rheology in porous media still represents as nonnewton shear thinning. The defferent structures of proes have certain influnces to emulsion rheology. There are three kinds of machainsms which are considered as separaed particles of mulsion to bring about proe plugging: Blockage by single drop of emulsion, by troop drops of mulsion with out-of-order congestion. Drops of emulsion which are blocked in proes can flow throuht the proe throat if incresing the pressure and flow speed of emulsion. There are two mechanisms for displacing of emulsion: The actions of plugging and channels make the decreasing of residue oil formed by flowing around. The emulsion can make residue oil in the corner form, break and form a small residue oil drops which flow with the flow of emulsion and enhancing the oil replaced efficiency. By the study on characterization of micrononhomogeneous porous oil formation 10 of Maling oil field it could be known that the nonhomogeneous water absorption is a main reason to make low degree of oil formation development. The experiments show that with the displacement of emulsion after water driving, the residue oil driven by water have become less and this emulsion oil replacing improves oil driven efficiency by 6%. This study result can be used as reference for planning water shutoff using emulsion as plugging agent, understanding the technology of alkali-surfactant-polymer (ASP) flooding, and further study on emulsion flooding.
