Research On The Relationship Between Chinese Traditional Furniture And Painting

There were many pictures about furniture in Chinese traditional painting. These pictures provided not only convenience in studying the history of furniture, but also evidence in solving some problems in the division of history periods of some important drawing; There were different kinds of painting in the decoration of Chinese traditional furniture and these paintings were very important for beautifying the furniture and promoting the implication. Therefore, the relationship between Chinese traditional furniture and painting is worth deeply studying. The first part of the paper is the outline of the relationship between Chinese traditional furniture and painting which talked about the concept and relation of the two arts. The second and third part studied the furniture in Chinese traditional painting. In the introduction, the paper probed into the basic modelling, decoration and perspective of the pictures about Chinese traditional furniture. In the study of special subject, the author chosed the following five aspects which were still not studied further by others before: ①Special furniture in the painting of Han Dynasty; ②The analysis of the eariest picture of chair in China;③The special value of Dunhuang Murals in researching the development of Chinese traditional furniture ;④Furniture and the new explanation of the division of history period of Han Xizai Ye Yan Tu;⑤Qing Ming Shang He Tu and market furniture in Son Dynasty. The fourth and the fifth part of the paper is the study of the painting on Chinese traditional furniture. In the introduction, the author probed into the types of painting, the development and the relationship amony these different painting. The paper chosed five of the representative aspects to study in the study of special subject:①The lacquer painting in Chu State in the time of Warring States;②The silk painting and paper painting on the Chinese traditional screen;③The "stone painting "on Chinese traditional furniture;④The porcelain painting on Chinese traditional furniture in Qin Dynasty;⑤The "carving painting "on Chinese traditional furniture. In the sixth part, the paper probled into the modern manufacture technology of painting on traditional Chinese furniture. Looked the "carve painting"on Chinese traditional painting as the most important example, the paper talked about the application of CAD/CAM and CNC in the modern manufacture of "carving painting". The seventh part is the conclusion and some suggestions in further study of the research were made. The studies all above filled the research of furniture and painting some vacancy,and had importent significance on contemporary furniture'absorpostion to painting element, the help of furniture'proof to the research of painting, the use of modern manufacture technology to deepen the decoration of painting on Chinese traditional furniture.
